Terms of Use

Effective July 12, 2026

Thanks for using Roost. The short version: it's a free family organizer, use it kindly, and don't rely on it for anything medical or safety-critical.

The service

Roost helps households organize chores, reminders, appointments, and family info. It's provided free, as-is, and as-available. We work hard to keep it reliable, but we can't promise uninterrupted service or that data will never be lost — please don't make Roost the only copy of information you can't afford to lose.

Your account

  • You're responsible for your account and for the accounts you create for your kids.
  • Keep your password to yourself; anyone with it can act as you.
  • You must have the right to share whatever information you put into your household.

Health information is not medical advice

Fields like allergies, prescriptions, and the medication log exist for family convenience — for example, briefing a babysitter. They are not a medical record or medical advice, and Roost should never substitute for professional care or your own judgment.

Fair use

Don't abuse the service: no unlawful content, no attempting to access other households' data, no disrupting the service for others. We may suspend accounts that do.

Liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Roost and its operators aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the service. Where liability can't be excluded, it's limited to the amount you paid to use Roost — which is nothing, because it's free.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; meaningful changes will be announced in the app. Questions? support@homeroost.net. See also our Privacy Policy.
